St George FC Season Launch

St George FC has “launched” the new season at the Rowers on Cooks River, the club’s new Licensed Venue Partner and Sponsor.

The boutique venue is the club’s new home for Events and Meetings.

Club Chairman Bruce Spiteri Welcomed the Men’s NPL and Boys Youth Players and Parents for the Jersey Presentations.

Interviews were conducted with Club Chairman Bruce Spiteri and then Football Director Brian Brown with both excited about the season ahead.

The Club Sponsors both those returning from last season and those who have come on board this season, were acknowledged.

Short Interviews were then conducted with all Boys Youth Coaches starting with David (Maxi) Sevares with his Under 13 Team.

The Men’s NPL Team assisted by presenting the players with their jerseys with Anthony Morabito and Harrison Farrow involved with the U13 team.

The other age groups then followed.

Jacob Bandur spoke about his Under 14 team. Jayden Seeto and Justin Poon presented the jerseys.

Alexi Brakatselos spoke about his Under 15 team. Nicholas Kalagerou and Evan Sourus made the presentations.

Ben Lucas introduced his Under 16 team. Jaden Casella and Kota Toyooka presented the jerseys

Meco Tripodi spoke about his Under 18 team. Mark Rodic and Rocco Smith did the honours.

John Theodoropoulos had his Assistant Clint Harrod with him when he spoke about his Under 20 team. Club Captain Troy Danaskos and Kaidyn Wright made the jersey presentations.

With the Boys Youth playing their home games on Saturday and the Men’s NPL on the same night, the support for each program is already apparent with crowds for home games certain to be bigger with the Men following on straight after the Boys Youth matches.

Men’s NPL Coach Raphael Marie and Team Manager Brian Rae made the jersey presentations to their players.

A very positive Q and A followed with Coach Raphael Marie starting his first season as an NPL Men’s Coach.

Club Captain Troy Danaskos passion for his club was clearly apparent when he spoke about the responsibility which goes with his title and the impact the clubs’ new signings are already and will have this season.

All present were encouraged by the positive outlook from all those who spoke during the evening.

It was the ideal event to begin the club’s partnership with Rowers on Cooks River. The club thanked CEO Grant Wheeler and his staff for their excellent Hospitality.
