Unbeaten St George FC Out To School The Students

Enjoying their best start to a season, unbeaten St George FC return home after a fortnight away to host NPL “newcomers” University of NSW at Barton Park on Saturday night.

The ‘Saints” are the headline act in a big day of football which starts with the Boys Youth playing Camden Tigers in the “curtain raisers”

The Saints under new coach Raphael Marie, have yet to concede a goal in their wins over Wollongong Wolves and Sutherland Sharks and the scoreless draw in the local derby with St George City.

They “host” newly promoted University of NSW who picked up their first point in the NPL with a 1 all draw against also newly promoted SD Raiders last start.

St George FC recruited strongly in the “off season” with eight new signings and the impact has been noticeable.

However, it has been the “super sub” youngster Harrison Farrow who has been attracting attention. The tall striker has had significant impact coming on for the final half hour scoring vital goals against both Wollongong Wolves in Round 1 and again last weekend against Sutherland Sharks when he scored the match winner (88 minutes)

The Saints will be wary of the students who are an unknown quantity given this being their first time in NPL 1.
