Jordan Baker – History-Makers Double Milestone

Jordan Baker has joined a truly “elite” club – she has scored now over 100 goals in her now over 100 first grade games for St George FC.

It is a remarkable achievement and a testament to her dedication, skill and hard work.

Her reputation as one of the most lethal attackers in the women’s game in NSW is well earned and deserved.

The 100 first grade games was reached recently against Camden Tigers (March 30th) and she has continued on her goal scoring way since.

The High School Sports Teacher is an ornament to the round ball game and her ability to “educate” is now being extended at St George FC in 2025 having taken on a “coaching role” using her vast knowledge, experience and her tenacious approach to the game to further female football.

Jordan, has also taken the club’s youth strikers under her wing -coaching the future first grade attackers.

Just like her co-captain, Nicole Besz, who has also reached the 100 first grade games milestone at St George FC, the pair were part of a group of players who came from nearby Sutherland in 2020.

What a blessing for the Saints.

Since arriving from the “Shire” Jordan Baker has had a significant impact-renowned for her goal scoring prowess her consistent performances earned her the Senior Gold Boot Award at the Club’s 2022, 2023 and 2024 Women and Girls Presentation Nights.

Jordan Baker’s football journey began with Gymea United (2007 to 2011) and Sutherland Shire during her youth.

It was then on to the “next level” playing for West Sydney Wanderers in the W League for two seasons which included being the competition’s top goal scorer.

The ultimate achievement in her career came when she represented the Australian Under 20 team-the Young Matilda’s in 2016.

Such is her talent and versatility, Jordan began playing Rugby League in 2017 for the Cronulla Sharks. Not surprisingly, she was one of the competitions top point scorers in 2018.

Jordan Baker’s milestone achievement was recognised prior to the match against Blacktown Spartans with her family on hand for the special presentation made by Club Chairman, Bruce Spiteri. Fittingly it was done along with co -captain Nicole Besz who had also reached the 100 first grade games milestone.
