Shirts’ Presentation Day

The club was busy last week with both our Men/Boys and Women/Girls squads holding their Shirt Presentation evenings at the Novotel Brighton Beach. 

Monday saw the Women and Girls hold their function with ten squads from the Under 10s through to the Senior Squad receiving their jerseys for the upcoming season. With Matildas coach Tom Sermanni in attendance along with former Matildas and St George Budapest luminaries Trixie Tagg and Lynn Everett-Miller also guests on the night, it was a tremendous occasion and a fine precursor to the upcoming season.

Two days later, the Men and Boys received their jerseys, from Under 13s Youth to First Grade. Interviews with chairman Bruce Spiteri, first grade captain Troy Danaskos, first grade coach Fabian Miceli and former St George player and Olyroo/Youth International Zoran Ilic were a highlight of the proceedings. 

The Women’s season kicks off on 2 March while the Men’s season commenced last weekend.
